CONWAY, SC – Libby Haas (So., Wrightsville, PA/Eastern York) cleared 5’-04.25” to break the Franklin & Marshall College high jump record and lead the Diplomats at the Coastal Carolina University Shamrock Women’s Outdoor Track Invitational. Competing against mostly Division I competition, Haas broke the previous mark of 5’-3” which she shared with Kathy Kravulak ’95. Overall, she finished second in the event as the University of Iowa’s Jenni Elbert cleared 5’-07” to capture the invitational title. She added another top 10 finish as Haas placed 10th in the 400 meter dash in a time of 1:04.61. In other top 10 finishes, Karen Ziga (So., Haverford, PA/Haverford) placed fifth in the 5000 meter run in 18:54.81, while Bryn Benford (Sr., Malvern, PA/Great Valley) placed seventh in the triple jump (32’-03.75”) and ninth in the javelin (109’-00”). Franklin & Marshall will continue the season on March 29 at home versus Dickinson and Gettysburg in the annual “Little Three” Championships. Start time is set for 4:00 p.m. 100 Meters
