Diplomats Place Ninth in Women's Centennial/MAC 4X400 at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, PA - The Franklin & Marshall College team of Brittney Dhein (Jr., Telford, PA/Penn Ridge), Libby Haas (So., Wrightsville, PA/Eastern), Nikki Salenetri (So., Crosswicks, NJ/Northern Burlington) and Tara Cooney (Jr., Douglaston, NY/St. Francis) sprinted to a time of 4:15.30 to finish ninth of 12 teams in the Centennial/Middle Atlantic Conference 4X400 meter relay at the University of Pennsylvania's Franklin Field in the 2005 Penn Relays.

The time was 0.35 off the pace of eighth place Gettysburg College and 3.49 seconds ahead of 10th place Widener University.

Elizabethtown College won the annual event in 3:59.60, while Haverford (4:01.87), Muhlenberg (4:02.85), Messiah (4:06.25) and Susquehanna (4:06.67) rounded out the top five.

Franklin & Marshall College will continue the season on May 6-8 at the Centennial Conference Championships hosted by Muhlenberg College.
