ITHACA, NY – Karen Ziga (Jr., Haverford, PA/Haverford) placed second in the 5,000 meters in a time of 18:37.21 to lead the Franklin & Marshall College women’s indoor track team at the Cornell University Robert J. Kane Invitational. In other top 10 finishes, Katie Byrne (Fr., Gettysburg, PA/Gettysburg) crossed the finish line in 5:34.01 to place 10th in the mile, Erica Losito (Fr., Chatham, NJ/Chatham) placed 10th in the 400 meters (1:05.05), Alyssa Catalano (Fr., Selinsgrove, PA/Selinsgrove) placed 10th in the weight throw (42-09.00) and Libby Haas (Jr., Wrightsville, PA/Eastern York) placed seventh in the high jump (5-01.00). In the relays, the Diplomats placed fifth in the 4X800 in 10:35.80 and eighth in the 4X400 (4:21.11). Franklin & Marshall will continue the season on February 18 at the Princeton Invitational. 5000 Meters
