Diplomats Break 4X200 Record at ECAC Women's Indoor Track Championships

COLLEGEVILLE, PA – The Franklin & Marshall College 4X200 team of Brittney Dhein (Sr., Telford, PA/Pennridge), Libby Haas (Jr., Wrightsville, PA/Eastern York), Megan Hunter (Fr., Allentown, PA/Emmaus) and Erica Losito (Fr., Chatham, NJ/Chatham) crossed the finish line in a time of 1:52.39 to place 11th and break the previous record of 1:52.87 to lead the Diplomats women’s indoor track team at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships hosted by Ursinus College. The time marked the second time in a week that the relay broke the school record as the team combined to best the previous mark last week at the Centennial Conference Championships. In other top finishes, Karen Ziga (Jr., Haverford, PA/Haverford) placed fifth in the 5000 meters in a time of 18:33.72 as she accounted for four of the Diplomats points. Haas added a seventh place finish in the high jump as she cleared 5-0, while Alyssa Catalano (Fr., Selinsgrove, PA/Selinsgrove) finished 13th in the weight throw with a toss of 40-10.50. Overall, the Diplomats finished with five points in the championship field to tie with Ursinus College and Rowan University for 29th among the championships 38 teams.
