Egolf Named to October 29th Centennial Conference Women's Cross Country Honor Roll

LANCASTER, PA - Paul Riley (Jr., Bloomsburg, PA/Bloomsburg) and Bekah Egolf (So., Pottstown, PA/Owen J. Roberts) have been named to the October 29th Centennial Conference Cross Country Honor Roll for their performances at the Gettysburg College Invitational on October 26th.

In the men's race, Riley ran a 27:30.19 to lead Franklin & Marshall to a 23rd place finish.

He was followed across the finish line by Matt Bartoloni (So., Staten Island, NY/Saint Joseph), 28:32.31, Matt Batzel (So., Susquehanna, PA/Susquehanna), 29:10.21, Ken Smiley (Fr., Lancaster, PA/McCaskey), 31:09.84, Bob Berkey (So., Brookhaven, PA/Sun Valley), 31:51.14, Devin Scully (So., Bound Brook, NJ/Rutgers Prep), 31:54.27 and Aldace Fleming (Fr., Ridgefield, CT/ Ridgefield), 32:06.46.

The honor marks the third time during the 2002 season that Riley has been honored by the Conference following recognition on the September 10 and 17 CC Cross Country Honor Rolls.

In the women's race, Egolf finished 47th with a time of 21:02.69 to pace the Diplomats to a 15th place finish at the Gettysburg Invitational.

Egolf was followed across the line by Sarah Aronoff (So., Bethesda, MD/Chevy Chase), 21:37.35, Tammy Crudden (Fr., Collegeville, PA/Spring-Ford), 22:03.49, Emily Hughes (Sr., Springfield, VT/Springfield), 22:17.28, Anne Blommer (Fr., Ottumwa, IA/Ottumwa), 22:41.45, Megan Feehan (Fr., West Chester, PA/B. Reed Henderson), 23:11.49 and Diana Levengood (Jr., Pottstown, PA/Owen J. Roberts), 24:20.31.

The honor marks the fifth time that Egolf has been recognized on the Conference Honor Roll following previous acknowledgement on the September 10 & 17 and October 1 and 21 Honor Rolls.

Franklin & Marshall will continue the season on November 2 at Ursinus College in the Centennial Conference Championships.
