Ziga Leads Women's Cross Country to 9th Place Finish at Centennial Conference Championship

CENTER VALLEY, PA - Karen Ziga (Fr., Haverford, PA/Haverford) crossed the finish line in 27:12.67 to place 43rd and lead the Franklin & Marshall College women's cross country team to a ninth place finish at the Centennial Conference Championships hosted by Muhlenberg College on DeSales University's six kilometer course. Meredith Janeczek (Fr., Hershey, PA/Hershey), 53rd in 27:51.88, Amy Toporowski (Jr., Montgomery, MA/Willison Northampton), 54th in 27:53.59, Megan Feehan (So., West Chester, PA/Henderson), 82nd in 30:06.73, and Rebecca Dempsey-Altman (Lancaster, PA), 84th in 30:18.15, rounded out the Diplomats top five as Franklin & Marshall finished with 231 points, three behind eighth place McDaniel and 67 points ahead of Ursinus College Overall, Dickinson College claimed the team title with 23 points as Callie Bradley captured the individual title (23:05.83) to lead six Red Devil finishers in the top 10 runners.
