LANCASTER, Pa. - The Franklin & Marshall Orchestra will hold auditions for the greater Lancaster community Aug. 28-31.
Specific audition times can be set by contacting Brian Norcross, at 291-4233 or sending email to brian.norcross@fandm.edu. The Franklin & Marshall Orchestra rehearses Mondays 7- 8:15 p.m. and Wednesdays 7-9 p.m. (For those who are unable to attend two rehearsals on a regular basis, the preferred rehearsal is Wednesday night). The repertoire this year includes: Dvorak's Symphony No. 9, and Copland's Rodeo. The 60-70 piece orchestra is under the direction of Dr. Brian Norcross, the college's director of instrumental music. For the audition, please prepare a solo or etude, approximately 10 minutes in length that highlight your musical strength. There is no age limit to membership.
