LANCASTER, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall College's Gaming Society, Anime Club, and Dance Dance Revolution (DDR) Club will combine forces to co-sponsor Diplocon III, a gaming and anime convention on Nov. 2-4. Diplocon III will be a 48-hour marathon convention of gaming and anime and will feature gaming, skilled GMs, a wide variety of anime, a fully stocked board game library, and the opportunity to socialize with gamers and anime enthusiasts from all over Pennsylvania and the northeast. Events include casual and competitive play (with prizes), with a wide variety of games, including Team and Solo Halo and Dance Dance Revolution. For more information on scheduling and tickets, see www.fandm.edu/gaming.xml. The Gaming Society at Franklin & Marshall focuses on RPGs, board games, and console games. The society features Dungeons & Dragons campaigns and games like Risk, Fluxx, Coloretto, and Settlers of Catan. F&M's Anime Club promotes Japanese animation on campus. The club holds regular meetings and "All-Night-Anime" in which members watch two entire seasons of an anime in one night. Recently, the club has sponsored sushi-making, Bubble Tea runs, free movie screenings, and has co-sponsored events with other on-campus organizations. The Dance Dance Revolution (DDR) Club. features events with DDR, a console game featuring dancing that originates from Japan and is copyright Konami. DDR Club's equipment is owned by F&M's Ben's Underground.
