Classics and contemporary rub elbows - and knees, feet, backs, heads, and more - in this year's Fall Dance Concert.

From one of the towering American artists of all time, Martha Graham, we present "Steps in the Street" (1936) from Graham's full-length work, Chronicle. "Steps" is a powerful statement about the individual's stance against tyrannical forces, and is reconstructed under supervision of the Martha Graham Dance Company.

Also on the program is a jazz dance by renowned jazz dance performer, teacher, and choreographer, Cathy Young, whose work has been seen in such venues as Jacob's Pillow, the Joyce Theater, and The Walker Art Center.

New works by F&M dance program faculty and guests will include choreography by Lynn Brooks, Elba Hevia y Vaca, Sonya Mann-McFarlane, and Pamela Vail in a range of styles including modern dance, flamenco, ballet, and African dance.
